Students in second grade at St. Eleanor School enjoy learning Math, Religion, and Integrated Language Arts from their homeroom teacher. Mrs. Staurowsky provides instruction in Social Studies for both classes. Mrs. Kurish teaches both classes of Science. This year the students become closer to Jesus as they prepare to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. Students participate in a variety of grouping situations such as whole class instruction, partner activities, and cooperative learning groups. Lessons are presented in various ways to reach the learning style of all students. Second graders also attend one daily special, where they learn computer, music, art, gym, and library skills.
