• Walk through the doors of fifth grade at Saint Eleanor School, and you will enter a world of fun, excitement, and challenges. Under the guidance of Mrs.Joel and Mrs.Ciccitto, the children receive instruction in Religion, Math, Integrated Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science that is based on the Archdiocesan Curriculum Guidelines and implemented with up-to-date textbooks that foster a technology based curriculum. In a Christian atmosphere, each child is challenged to share all their many talents through a cooperative learning setting. Our students also travel daily to specialists in the areas of Art, Computer, Library, Music, and Physical Education. Our goal is to educate the whole child under the guidance of Jesus Christ - Our Teacher.
  • As you enter the fifth grade classrooms you will notice the excitment that generates from these rooms. Whether it be Religion, Math, Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies our students are involved in learning.
Christ is present in all we do. We begin and we end each day in school-wide prayer. We ask Christ to guide us in each aspect of our lives.
Our curriculum is academically rigorous. In Religion we focus on the Blessed Mother, prayer, feast days, and the sacraments. Social Studies- the Western Hemisphere, Math - problem solving, communicating mathematically, and developing reasoning skills, Language Arts incorporates reading, writing, spelling, and parts of speech, and sciences is a combination of earth, physical, and life sciences. The students also enjoy Art, Music, Gym, Library, and Technology classes, and just as in our everyday lives, technology is also an important tool in use throughout our curriculum.
