What is Scrip?   It is a parish fundraiser.

The parish purchases gift cards in bulk, at a discount, anywhere from 1% to 25%.  They then sell them to us at face value.  The Parish in return receives the revenue from the purchase.  As an incentive to purchase, the Parish gives back a tuition credit of up to 2.5% on your purchases.  Not only are you getting money off your tuition, but you are also helping the Parish. 2.5% does not sound like a lot, but you can earn $130 credit just by purchasing $100 a week in groceries for the savings period.  Tuition credits are earned in advance.  Credits earned from March to February of the current year will be credited in the following school year.

The Parish stocks many retail stores, grocery stores, and restaurant gift cards.  When you purchase a $25 gift card, you pay $25.  There is no extra cost out of your pocket, and you use the gift cards just like cash.  You can also preorder many other gift cards.  There is a full list at the SCRIP table, which is located in the Narthex of the Church, before and after Masses (not before the 7:30 AM or after the 12 PM and not at all for the 7:00 PM Sunday Mass.)  You can also go to the St. Eleanor website under "How to support your Parish", for a full list.  All non-stock orders placed by Sunday are normally in by that Friday.  You can pick them up at the rectory, or they will be at Church for you to pick up when you come to Mass on Saturday or Sunday.  Scrip is also available at the rectory during the week during regurlar selling times.
